Public Swim at Maloney High School

Participants wearing a valid 1999 swim tag may use the pool on:
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 - 7:45pm
plus Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 - 3:45pm thru June 13, 1999.
Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
* Please note the pool will be closed on 4/4, 4/24 and 4/25 *
The pool will be open from 12:00 - 1:45pm Monday - Friday 4/19 - 4/23

1999 World Tai Chi Day

The public is invited to come out to Hubbard Park on Saturday
at 10:00 AM to participate in a worldwide celebration of Tai Chi.
Group demonstrations and individual instructions will be provided by
Central Connecticut Tai Chi Ch'uan. This free event will take place
at the parking lot across from the pool. For more info, call 235-5703.

Meridian Lodge / Daffodil Festival Antique Show

Look around Hubbard Park towards the parking lot across the swimming pool
Sunday the 18th of April and you'll discover a big festival tent of antiquity!
Your paid admission fee of $3.00 ($2.50 w/coupon or ad from paper) allows you
to meet and negotiate with over 50 dealers starting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Early birds providing a $10.00 donation will be admitted at 9 a.m. *
There's free parking; and food concessions shall be available on the premises.

Meriden Land Trust

An all-volunteer group consisting of
conservationists, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts
invite you to join them at the City Engineer's office
in city hall as they meet every third Wednesday at 7p.m.

Focusing on protecting the natural habitat of Meriden
including its wetlands, wildlife habitat, trap-rock ridges
trails, farmland, historic, scenic and recreational areas;
collectively, we can all help maintain Meriden's balance
between the rural and urban aspects of the community.

21st Annual Meriden Daffodil Festival

When: Saturday, April 24th from 10:00AM - 9:00PM
and on Sunday, April 25th from 10:00AM - 5:00PM
Where: At Hubbard Park, Meriden, Connecticut
Why: Partake in features of over 40 different kinds of food,
amusement rides, continuous entertainment, over 80 arts and crafts vendors,
a health fair, parade, fireworks, special events, demonstrations, and
of course ... over 550,000 daffodils in bloom for your viewing pleasure!

*BUT THAT'S NOT ALL ... some prominent pre-festival/festival events include:
