Indoor Swim Program

This is the final month the Public Swim Program
meets at the Maloney High School pool for 2001-2002:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 6:30 - 7:45pm
Saturdays and Sundays from 12 Noon - 3:45pm

There will be no public swim on school holidays
or snow days, unless otherwise noted.

Daily updates are available on the Parks and Rec

All interested participants must possess a valid tag,
($1 for children 17 and under, and $5 for adults),

2002 Hershey Track and Field Competition

Update: Due to poor weather conditions,
this event shall be held on
Wednesday, May 22, 2002
Sign-up is 5:30pm, competition starts 6:00pm

The City of Meriden and the Meriden Boys and Girls Club
invite youths age 9-14 to participate in the local program.
The event is held at the Maloney High School Track.
All participants receive certificates and refreshments.
Event winners may qualify for July's state championship.

Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2002

Meriden Raiders Registration

Players and cheerleaders are invited to participate in
the upcoming 2002 Meriden Junior Football League season.
Sign-up at Washington Park (Pete Sini Field House) from
11:00am - 1:00pm at a cost of $75/player, $60/cheerleader.
Players must be 7 years old on or before August 1, 2002 and
weigh at least 45lbs. You may not be older than 15 years
of age August 1, 2002 and weigh no more than 125lbs.
Cheerleaders ages 8-15 are also welcome to join.
Please bring your 2001-2002 original report cards,
and original doctor signed medical consent form.
Parent or legal guardian consent is also required.

2002 Meriden Memorial Day Parade

Come and enjoy this yearly event presented by the
City of Meriden and the Meriden United Veterans Council.
The parade begins at 10:00am at Washington Park and
proceeds to City Hall via Liberty, Cottage and East Main
Streets. A brief ceremony at City Hall follows the parade.
Individuals or groups wishing to march are asked to call
