NFL Gatorade Punt, Pass and Kick Competition

The Meriden YMCA and the City of Meriden invite boys and girls
ages 8-15 to test their football skills at the local competition.
This free event will take place at Ceppa Field at 10:00AM.
Interested participants must bring their birth certificates and
wear sneakers. Winners advance to state championship in October.

2000-2001 Indoor Swim Program

You're welcome to maintain your swimming exercise at
the Maloney High School indoor pool on Gravel Street.
Interested participants must possess a valid 2000 pool tag,
which can be obtained at the Parks and Recreation office.
The pool's weekly schedule will be as follows:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays ... 6:30 - 7:45pm
Saturdays and Sundays ... 12:00n - 3:45pm

There is no public swim on school holidays or snow days,
unless otherwise noted. Daily updates can be found on the
Parks and Recreation Department Activity Line (203) 630-4279.

Friday and Saturday, September 22-23, 2000

4th Annual Hoopin' Downtown Basketball Fest

Basketball players of all ages and abilities are invited
to compete in this 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the
police/court complex downtown West Main Street.
The festival starts 7-10pm on Friday and all day Saturday!
Teams must have at least 3 members and as many as 5 members.
All participants receive T-shirts and winners receive trophies.
You can also be part of and/or watch a volleyball tournament,
a Double Dutch demonstration, a 4-Square competition, or simply
enjoy the fun-packed entertainment, variety of food and music.
