Indoor Swim Program

You're welcome to maintain your swimming exercise at
the Maloney High School indoor pool on Gravel Street.
Interested participants must possess a valid 2001 pool tag,
which can be obtained at the Parks and Recreation office.
(Cost $5.00 for adults, children 17 and under $1.00
Proof of Meriden residency required for purchase.)

The pool's weekly schedule will be as follows:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays ... 6:30 - 7:45pm
Saturdays and Sundays ... 12:00n - 3:45pm

There is no public swim on school holidays or snow days,
unless otherwise noted. Daily updates can be found on the
Parks and Recreation Department Activity Line (203) 630-4279.

Co-Ed Adult Volleyball Program

Organized recreational volleyball games for adults
ages 18 and older takes place every Tuesday night
at Lincoln Middle School from 6:00 - 9:00pm!
(Program will not run school holidays or snow days)
One-time $20.00 registration fee payable at game or

2001 Leprechaun Hunt

Children ages 4-15 are invited to discover the location
of Patsy the Leprechaun by using clues given on the
Parks and Recreation Department Activity Line (630-4279).
Clues will be given on the following dates:
March 1st, 6th, 8th, 13th and 15th.
The first child to locate Patsy and return him to the
Parks and Recreation Department Office will receive a
special St. Patrick's Day prize package!

MASA Registration

2001 M.A.S.A. rules and team roster sheets are currently
available at the Parks and Recreation Department office.
The MASA team registration meeting will be held at the
Washington Middle School cafeteria. This is the only
opportunity teams will have to register for this season.

2001 St. Patrick's Day Parade

Meriden A.O.H. presents the 28th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade
starting at 1:00PM. The parade begins at the intersection of
Parker Avenue and East Main Street, proceed on East Main Street
through the downtown area to West Main Street and finish at the
intersection of Bradley Avenue and West Main Street. Groups
wishing to participate in the parade should call (203) 235-6573.
