Indoor Swim Program

The Public Swim Program meets at the
Maloney High School pool for your benefit:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 6:30 - 7:45pm
Saturdays and Sundays from 12 Noon - 3:45pm

There will be no public swim on school holidays
or snow days, unless otherwise noted.

Daily updates are available on the Parks and Rec

All interested participants must possess a valid tag,
($1 for children 17 and under, and $5 for adults),

Tuesdays, March - April 9, 2002

Co-Ed Adult Volleyball Program

Organized recreational volleyball games for adults
ages 18 and older take place every Tuesday night
at Lincoln Middle School from 6:00-9:00PM.
(Program doesn't run school holidays or snow days)
All paid participants will receive t-shirts.
A one-time $25.00 registration fee can be paid
at the program or at the department office of

2002 Leprechaun Hunt

Children ages 4-12 are invited to find the
location of Patsy the Leprechaun by using
clues given on the Parks and Recreation
Department Activity Line (203) 630-4279.
Clues will be given on the following dates:
March 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th and 15th.
Receive a special St. Patrick's Day prize
package by being the first child to locate
Patsy and quickly return him to the office of

M.A.S.A. Registration

2002 Meriden Amateur Softball Association rules and
team roster sheets are currently availabe at the
Parks and Recreation Department office. The M.A.S.A.
team registration meeting takes place TONIGHT in the
Washington Middle School cafeteria at 6:30PM. This
is the only opportunity teams will have to register
for the 2002 season. For further information, please

St. Patrick's Day Parade

The Meriden AOH presents this 29th annual event
starting at 2:00PM. The parade begins at the
intersection of Parker Avenue and East Main Street,
proceeds on East Main through the downtown area to
West Main Street and finish at the intersection of
Bradley Avenue and West Main Street. Enjoy!

2002 East Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny will be at Hubbard Park to give
children an early start to their Easter egg
collecting this year. Group participation is:

         Age            Time
            1-3            10:00AM
            4-5            10:30AM
            6-7            11:00AM
            8-10           11:30AM

Charlie Chuckles the Clown will also be around to
provide entertainment. Children are asked to please
bring a bag or basket for egg collecting - Rain/Shine.

The 15th Annual 'Daffodils on Parade' takes place
on Saturday, April 27th and the 2002 Meriden
Memorial Day Parade takes place Saturday, May 25th.
School, community and business groups are all
invited and encouraged to participate in these
